Why making children laugh is a serious business
Nicolette Jones introduces the first Roald Dahl prize for children's books On Monday the shortlist for the first Roald Dahl Funny Prize will be announced. It's the creation of the Children's Laureate, Michael Rosen, who had a giggly time choosing books with the other judges: Roald's granddaughter Sophie Dahl, the children's author Kaye Umansky, the children's illustrator Chris Riddell and the comedian Dara O'Briain.
The Roald Dahl Funny Prize is organised by Booktrust. See www.roalddahlprize.org. |
