If you happen to be in London or live in London, I would say, go to this book signing and release party at Orbital Comics. Dotter of Her Father's Eye is a wonderful graphic novel that describes the parallel lives of Mary Talbot, the author, and Lucia Joyce, James Joyces' daughter. The imagery by Bryan Talbot really conveys the story of how these women grew up. I especially liked the image of Lucia's hospitalization incorporated with modern dance movements. It shows how much of our views of ourselves rests on how our parents dealt with us. It is beautifully written and illustrated and would be a wonderful addition to a school library collection.
